This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) aims to give you information on and explains how LETAI L.L.C-FZ (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects and processes your personal data through your use of the website located at https://letai-app.com (the “Website”), including any data you may provide through the Website when you interact with it. 

1.2. The Website is operated by LETAI L.L.C-FZ, a limited liability company incorporated and licensed under the Meydan Free Zone, U.A.E. Authority with registration number 2542889 and licence number 2542889.01. Our registered address is Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

1.3. It is important that you read this Privacy Policy together with any other privacy policy or fair processing policy we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data.

1.4. This Privacy Policy supplements other notices and privacy policies and is not intended to override them.

1.5. By accessing or using the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is to be read together with our Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, Medical Disclaimer and AI Disclaimer, each published as standalone documents on the Website.

1.6. If you do not agree, you must discontinue the use of the Website immediately.

1.7. The Website is purely informational. It is operated to provide general information about the Company and the LetAI mobile application (“LetAI App”). The Website does not offer user accounts, registration, payment processing, data collection forms, or in-app functionality. We describe in this document what limited personal data is processed automatically when you visit the Website, and what data you may voluntarily provide when you contact us by email or telephone.

1.8. This Privacy Policy applies to the Website only. Any description of the LetAI App on the Website is for informational purposes only. Your use of the LetAI App is governed by and subject to its own privacy policy made available within the application and through the relevant application store at the time of download.

1.9. We are the data controller within the meaning of UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 Concerning the Protection of Personal Data (“PDPL”). If you are located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or the United Kingdom, we acknowledge GDPR and UK GDPR considerations, which we address separately in Sections 5, 7 and 10.

3.  Scope of This Privacy Policy

3.1. This Privacy Policy applies to:
  • visitors of the Website;
  • individuals who contact us by email or telephone using the contact details provided in this Privacy Policy and/or published on the Website;
  • prospective customers, partners, investors, and business contacts who find us through the Website.

3.2. This Privacy Policy does not apply to:
  • the LetAI App, and in-app data processing is governed by a separate privacy policy available within the App;
  • third-party websites, applications, or platforms linked from the Website, and users should review their respective privacy policies.

3.3. The Website does not contain contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, payment systems, or user account functionality. The only personal data processed through the Website is: 
  • data collected automatically from your device when you visit; and 
  • data you voluntarily provide when you email or call us.

4. Categories of Personal Data We Process

4.1. Technical Data (Collected Automatically).
When you visit the Website, certain technical data is collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure, content delivery network, and/or analytics provider:

The Website is not designed to collect, and we ask you not to submit, any of the following through the Website:

  • mental health or psychiatric information;
  • biometric or genetic data;
  • financial account credentials or payment card data;
  • government-issued identification numbers;
  • personal data of children under 18.
If such data is inadvertently provided, we will delete it where appropriate and technically feasible.

5.1. UAE PDPL Legal Bases.
When we use your personal data, we may be required to have a legal basis for doing so. There are various different legal bases upon which we may rely, depending on what personal information we process and why. The legal bases we may rely on include:
  • Consent: where you have given us clear consent for us to process your personal information for a specific purpose;
  • Contract: where our use of your personal information is necessary for a contract we have with you, or because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contract;
  • Legal obligation: where our use of your personal information is necessary for us to comply with the law (not including contractual obligations); and/or
  • Legitimate interests: where our use of your personal information is necessary for our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party (unless there is a good reason to protect your personal information which overrides our legitimate interests).

The Company is a UAE-incorporated entity and is not directly subject to GDPR unless it specifically targets EEA or UK individuals. However, as a best-practice measure, and in the interests of transparency for EEA and UK visitors, we identify the GDPR Article 6 grounds that would apply to our processing:
Note on Legitimate Interests Assessment: We have assessed our legitimate interests against your rights and freedoms and conclude that, in the context of a purely informational Website processing only minimal technical data and voluntary correspondence, our legitimate interests do not unduly prejudice your rights. 6.1. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Website. For full details of the cookies used, their categories, purposes, durations, and your consent options, please refer to our separate Cookie Policy.

6.2. In summary:
  • Strictly necessary cookies: required for the Website to function and cannot be disabled;
  • Analytics cookies: used to understand how visitors interact with the Website; these are only activated if you consent via the cookie banner;
  • Marketing/advertising cookies: We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.

7. Recipients and International Transfers of Personal Data

7.1. Categories of Recipients.
We share personal data only with third parties to the extent strictly necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

7.2. International Transfers.
Some of our service providers (if any) may be located outside the United Arab Emirates. When we transfer personal data outside the UAE, we comply with PDPL Chapter 4 (Arts. 22-23) and, where applicable, GDPR Chapter V.

Applicable transfer safeguards include:
  • Adequacy: where the destination country has been recognised by the UAE Data Office as providing adequate protection;
  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs): approved by the UAE Data Office or, for EEA/UK transfers, by the European Commission or the UK ICO (IDTA);
  • Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs): where applicable;
  • Explicit consent: where you have given clear and specific consent to the transfer after being informed of the risks.

8. Retention Periods

8.1. We will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other requirements.
9. No Automated Decision-Making or Profiling

9.1. We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on you. The Website does not make any decisions about you using AI algorithms, automated systems, or profiling logic.

9.2. The LetAI App uses artificial intelligence functionality. AI-related disclosures for the LetAI App are contained in the AI Disclaimer accessible on the Website and in the in-app privacy policy.

10. Your Rights as a Data Subject

10.1. Rights under UAE PDPL
Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL), you have the following rights, subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in the PDPL:
10.2. Additional Rights for EEA and UK Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR).
If you are located in the EEA or the United Kingdom, you have the same rights as set out above, governed by GDPR Articles 15-22 or UK GDPR equivalents. You additionally have:
  • the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or significant effects (GDPR Art. 22 / UK GDPR Art. 22), and we do not conduct such processing;
  • the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence (see Section 13).
10.3 How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of your rights, please contact us using the contact details provided in this Privacy Policy and/or published on the Website with the subject line “Data Subject Rights Request”. Please include: (a) your name; (b) a description of the right you wish to exercise; and (c) sufficient information to identify you in our systems.
We will acknowledge your request within five (5) business days and respond within thirty (30) days (or such shorter period as required by applicable law). We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. We will not charge a fee for reasonable requests.

11. Children

11.1. The Website is not directed at children under the age of 18 (eighteen). We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from children under that age through the Website.
11.2. If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us without appropriate parental or guardian consent, please contact us using the contact details provided in this Privacy Policy and/or published on the Website, and we will take prompt steps to delete that data.

12. Security

12.1 We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures designed to protect personal data against:
  • unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction; and
  • accidental loss or corruption.
12.2. These measures include:
  • Encryption in transit: all connections to the Website use TLS/SSL encryption;
  • Web application firewall: to filter malicious traffic;
  • Access controls: access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel with a legitimate need;
  • Security monitoring: logs are monitored for anomalies and security incidents; and
  • Vendor due diligence: data processors are required to maintain appropriate security standards.
12.3. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we endeavour to implement commercially reasonable measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to or stored by the Website.

14.2. These third-party websites have their own privacy policies, and we do not control, endorse, make any representations about, or accept any responsibility or liability for those websites, their privacy practices, which may differ from ours. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and policies.

14.3. The inclusion of any link to a third-party website does not imply endorsement of that website, its services, or its operators.

14.4. This Privacy Policy does not cover your interaction with third party websites, and we encourage you to review the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party website before accessing the same.

 15. Updates to This Privacy Policy

15.1. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our processing activities, applicable law, or regulatory guidance. The updated version will be posted on our Website with a revised Effective Date. 

15.2. Where changes are material (i.e., where they significantly affect your rights or our processing activities), we will use reasonable efforts to bring them to your attention, such as by displaying a prominent notice on our Website for a reasonable period. 

15.3. Your continued use of our Website following the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the revised Privacy Policy, you should stop using the Website.

 16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
16.1. This Privacy Policy, its subject matter and formation, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, are governed by and construed in accordance with the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and, where applicable, the laws of the Emirate of Dubai.

16.2. You and we agree that any dispute, difference, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with this Privacy Policy, including (but not limited to) any question regarding its existence, validity, interpretation, performance, discharge and applicable remedies, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.

16.3. Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits your right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority under the applicable law.
